About Institution
Columbia College is one of the oldest college in British Columbia and in all of Canada. Located just east of downtown Vancouver which is one of the safest and cleanest cities of Canada. As an international private college, Columbia acts as a temporary hub for international students who seek to pursue an education in Canada.
The college offers nine different associate degrees in arts and sciences, which upon completion allow students to enter the third year of bachelor’s degree program at major Canadian universities. Students can also earn university credits to transfer smoothly to any university in British Columbia or across Canada. Columbia also offers high school programs and academic ESL courses.
Columbia College has more than 1,800 students studying in the campus. Because 95 percent of its population consists of international students, the college is tailored to provide pathways to higher education and prepare students for life in Canada. The new campus offers variety of facilities such as large lecture theatre, student lounges, computer science lab and modern science labs for physics, chemistry, and biology.
Since 2016 the college has offered bursaries to refugees, and students who are refugees now have the opportunity to complete their high school education or pursue an associate degree at Columbia at no cost to them. Some popular programs at Columbia include General Arts, Science, Business Administration, Computer Science and Communications.
