About Institution
For more than 50 years NorQuest College has helped students reach their educational goals. It offers learning that transforms lives and strengthens communities and is known as Edmonton region’s community college.
Located on traditional lands referred to as Treaty 6 territory, NorQuest serves 19,354 learners that includes 10,874 full-time and part-time credit students and 8,400 non-credit or continuing education students. As a regional stewards, the college provides access to adult education in Edmonton and the surrounding region with services reaching from Drayton Valley in the southwest, to Whitecourt in the northwest, encompassing 26 communities.
NorQuest understand that students come with varying levels of education and it supports them at the times and places that meet their unique needs, whether that is in the classroom, via distance learning or continuing education. The college helps identify their strengths, work on their areas of need and direct them towards exciting learning paths and life-changing careers. Post-secondary diploma and certificate programs offer careers in health, community studies and business.
NorQuest also uniquely contributes to the increasing demands of the economy. With its workforce-relevant programming, the average diploma graduate from NorQuest College earns $15,100 more than a high school graduate at their career midpoint. Furthermore, research reflects that the college and its students added $471.4 million of total income to Edmonton’s regional economy.
Operating out of two campuses in Edmonton and three regional campuses, NorQuest is committed to ensuring an inclusive learning experience that champions diversity. The college has over 1,700 international students consisting of 37 nationalities and speaking 115 languages on campus. Students can enjoy a range of experiences from a thriving arts and culture scene and die-hard sports to a spectacular river valley. Moreover, with the Rocky Mountains to the west and vast prairies to the east, adventurous learners are well positioned to discover all the province has to offer.
